Key events in Special Administrative Regions
Major international trade fairs, specialised forums and conferences, in which national agencies, state organisations, and leading manufacturers and exporters from the Republic of Belarus participate on an annual basis host in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The Consulate-General in collaboration with Belarusian organisations, regularly holds presentations for the region’s business community with the aim of promoting Belarus’s trade, economic and cultural potential, and raising the profile and popularity of the country’s brands in the region.
The most significant events in the history of cooperation with Hong Kong include:
the first-ever visit by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus to the Hong Kong SAR, which took place on 10–12 September 2024. During the business programme, H.E. Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, addressed as the keynote speaker the plenary session of the 9th Belt and Road Summit on the theme «Mastering Markets with New Opportunities»;
numerous meetings and talks were held with the Hong Kong government leadership, the Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Hong Kong SAR (with the rank of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs), representatives of the region’s business community, and the heads of delegations from Malaysia, Cambodia and Bahrain.

on 30 May 2025, the Republic of Belarus, as one of the founding states, signed the Convention on the Establishment of the International Organisation for Mediation, headquartered in Hong Kong.
On behalf of the Republic of Belarus, the international treaty was signed by Ms Tatyana Kharlap, Consul-General of the Republic of Belarus in the Hong Kong SAR.

the road-show for the China-Belarus Industrial Park «Great Stone» held in Hong Kong 28–30 April 2026, as part of which was organised the forum «Nexus of Growth: Connecting GBA & EAEU’s emerging markets via Great Stone Industrial Park», attended by around 200 representatives of the business community.
During the event, four agreements were signed, including the registration of a new resident of the Industrial Park, business networking sessions were held with commercial organisations and associations, B2B negotiations took place with companies interested in cooperation.
