About Consulate General

 

 

In 2021, the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the People's Republic of China on the opening of the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (People's Republic of China) was concluded .

The consular district of the Consulate General covers two special administrative regions of China — Hong Kong and Macau.

In the spring of 2022, Belarusian diplomats of the Consulate General arrived in Hong Kong.

The opening ceremony of the Consulate General took place on May 4, 2023, with the participation of honorary guests — Head of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region John Lee Ka-chiu, Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affars of the People's Republic of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Liu Guangyuan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the PRC Yuri Senko.

The Consulate General ensures the realization of consular functions, develops and strengthens bilateral economic and humanitarian cooperation with Hong Kong and Macau, and provides assistance in accompanying high-level delegations in the consular district.
