On participation in the ceremony to mark 26th Anniversary of SAR Macao

On December 20, 2025 Consul General Tatyana Kharlap took part in celebrations marking the 26th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.

Macau SAR Governor Sam Hou Fai delivered an official speech, in which he highlighted Macao's achievements since its return to China, informed about the progress in implementation of the objectives set by President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping during his visit to the region in December 2024, and outlined the SAR's development plans for the next 15th Five Year Plan.

He emphasized that “the “pearl in the palm of the motherland” shines brighter every day”.

The event was attended by representatives of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and agencies, the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, the accredited diplomatic corps, and prominent figures from the region.
