On participation in the 35th International Education and Careers Expo
27.01.2026On 22-25 January, 2026 the delegation from the Belarusian National Technical University took part in the 35th International Education and Careers Expo, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (hereinafter referred to as BNTU, EXPO).
More than 860 organizations from 23 countries and regions participated in the exhibition. Belarus took part in the EXPO for the first time. The Faculty of International Cooperation of the BNTU was represented by Anna Nogach and Anastasia Volkova.
At the Opening Ceremony of the exhibition, Sophia Chong, Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, delivered a welcoming speech. The guest of honour at the event was Dr Yuk-lin Choi, Secretary for Education of the Hong Kong Government.
During the exhibition, a representative of the BNTU gave a presentation seminar to familiarise Hong Kong audience and foreign participants of the EXPO with the university’s educational programmes, research activities and opportunities for international cooperation.
During the visit, meetings were also organised with key universities and research centres in Hong Kong. In particular, meetings were held with:
Director of the HKUST Sports Science and Technology Research Center and Director of the Aerodynamics, Acoustics and Noise control Technology Centre of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Swire Professor, Chair Professor Dr Xin Zhang, (the University ranks 44th in the QS ranking);
Professor Ben M Chen, Mechanical and Automation Engineering Department Chairman, Faculty of Engineering, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (ranked 32nd in the QS rankings);
Acting Director of Mainland and International Affairs, Mainland and International Affairs Office Thomas Lee, the Hong Kong Metropolitan University (ranked 781-790 in the QS ranking);
Associate Dean (Student Enrichment), Faculty of Engineering Dr. Wilton Fok, Associate Heads of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, the University of Hong Kong (ranked 11th in the QS ranking).
The parties discussed areas for future bilateral cooperation.
