On the meetings held by T. Kharlap, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (People‘s Republic of China), on the occasion of the completion of her diplomatic mission

On 30th of January 2026 Consul General Tatyana Kharap held meetings with the leadership of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Commissioner’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Hong Kong SAR on the occasion of the completion of her diplomatic mission.

During the meeting with the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Hong Kong SAR Cui Jianchun the parties summed up the results of bilateral cooperation during the operation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus, opened in Hong Kong from 2022. Noted all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between countries and confirmed their readiness to implement previously planned projects.

In particular, the Chinese side drew attention to its readiness to develop and deepen business ties and the promising prospects for cooperation between Chinese regions and Belarus, including at the Great Stone Industrial Park. In turn, the diplomat informed about the wide opportunities for investors and comfortable working conditions in the Great Stone, as well as plans to intensify efforts to attract potential investors and trading partners from Hong Kong to Belarus.

During the meeting at the Hong Kong SAR Government, the Secretary for Administration Eric Chan (rank of deputy Chief Executive of the region) noted the constructive nature of Belarusian initiatives and their focus on achieving practical results in a spirit of partnership and mutual respect. The parties confirmed their readiness to further deepen bilateral cooperation in a wide range of economic and humanitarian areas, taking advantage of the strengths of Hong Kong and Belarus.
