On participation in the International Forum on China’s Economy and Politicy «Economic Transformations in a Multipolar World»

On 18 November 2025 Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Hong Kong SAR Darya Bohdan took part in the International Forum on China’s Economy and Politicy «Economic Transformations in a Multipolar World».

In his welcoming speech John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR, noted that China is striving for high-quality development, in which Hong Kong should take advantage of its strengths for global economic transformation.

Jonathan Choi, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, drew attention to Hong Kong’s development opportunities:
 — transformation into an international mediation centre with the establishment of the International Organisation for Mediation (headquartered in Hong Kong), 
 — development of the Northern Metropolis (a large-scale infrastructure project for the city: logistics hub, innovation zone, residential development), 
 — expansion of initial public offerings (IPOs).

The event was attended by about 500 representatives of the Hong Kong government, the accredited diplomatic corps, business and academic circles. In particular, two Nobel Prize winners in economics gave their presentations.
